Hangin With The Verve Pipe
The Verve Pipe (These guys are currently writing new material for a 2nd kids' CD, and working toward a fall release. We caught up with Brian Vander Ark, lead singer-guitar player, and Donnie Brown, drummer-song writer for the band (funny lookin' drum, Donnie)
They played an intimate concert in Chicago two days ago, for Verve Life's launch of Rhymba Kid and Rhymba Tween.
Sagezilla, fresh from her first day of Girls Rock Camp, was eager to demonstrate the chords she'd learned. The guys were great about sharing their instruments and she got to rock out on Brian's guitar. He started playing when he was 8, just like Sage!

My husband wrote RhymbaKid and RhymbaTween. He works remotely, so we didn't know they had the Verve Pipe at the launch. It startled me to see it mentioned on here today! I've learned a great deal about the music of Justin Bieber and who Victoria Justice is.

Sweet. Thanks for chiming in. My kids are straight up 80's punk rockers and jam band fans. They still listen to much of what we do at 8 & 10, so we're still blissfully ignorant of all things Bieber, Hanna Montana.... and the more popular kids icons. I do write about, photograph, and interview kindie (kids indie) musicians, but so far they've all been pretty cool, like Keller Williams, Candy Band and Recess Monkey.
