"We had one for our last baby, but he didn't get a look in. Mainly because our older kids ran around with it on their heads, running into furniture."

Profile Information

About Me:
Mother of 4 home educated kids, living in an urban area, surrounded by normal people.

Wife to a genius (really) who speaks in Physics alot. He is scientific, logical and linear. I am creative, flighty and all over the place.

Kids are aged 2, 6, 7 and 9 - eldest is a girl, rest are all boys.
What's something about your kid(s) that makes you happy?
They're a little bit crazy. Good crazy.
What's your most recent kid-related public humiliation?
You really want to know?

My 6 year old shouting loudly in public "Please Dad can I have a biscuit? I'll kiss your armpit and your bum this time."

I would like to point out we've never made him kiss our armpits or our backsides. I have no idea where this came from.
What about contemporary parenting culture pisses you off the most?
Where to start....the "Independent" (ha!) newspaper and Ofsted, and the "how do your kids socialise?" question that every one asks as soon as they know my kids don't go to school.
Who were you BEFORE you became a parent?
I was a fun lovin' sales exec for a London based training company.

Then I went mad, upset every one by getting married in Scotland aged 20, being told by every one that it wouldn't last and here we are, 12 years later. Still upsetting every one.
What are you nerdy about?
My camera. It's a new nerdiness, but I'm learning.
Favorite music/books/TV/movies:
Where to start - music. I love Classical, my husband loves Naff Pop. (Mid life crisis, any one?)
Books. Jonathon Livingston Seagull and lots of others. My house is held up by books.
Movies. Not much of a film watcher.
OPTIONAL: Do you have a sex life?
Hahahahahahaha.

Yes.
