Somewhere on SpeEdChange there are a few tools that are mentioned you can add right to your firefox browser if anyone is interested in them. And I just generally think this guy knows what he's talking about.See More

I've been attending a meditation class at the Kadampa Center of Raleigh. I really struggled with sitting still for all of the meditations. Me hyperactive much, sheesh no. I did like the Mind Like the Sky meditation. Laying down on a hard surface is much easier than sitting meditation, it probably has something to do with my posture. I am sure a cushion might help but I just bought some yoga bolsters and don’t want to break the bank.

My cat imparts Her feline feminist wisdom upon me daily. She just recently started being able to stand being in the same room as my three year old, subtle message…. hmmm. Occasionally she allows the kiddo a brief moment of glory as she runs quickly, yet close enough to touch Her silky, furry softness. The more time I spend alone in silence with her furry wisdom incarnate, the more sane I feel. Sometimes I sneak away using Herself as an excuse to spend some time alone.

I will sit on you
When I worked at the Kid Crazy Factory I saw tantrums evolve into controlled hugs. I was reminded of this today when my own kiddo was acting a bit crazy. It was time for nap. She had one leg in the air to throw off her blankets, which is like a teenager giving you the middle finger. I calmed her down and tucked her in walked away to compose myself. Before I could catch my breath I hear *bang* *bang*, so I peek around the corner. I see her sitting in the middle of a… Continue

kid interview: Carolina Rollergirls match Nov.21st
What did you like about them?--I saw the black ones and the pink ones.
What did they have on their helmet?--stars
(the jammer has a star on her helmet)
How did they go fast/ what are those things on their feet?

Clearly this match had more impact on me than my kiddo. It was awesome to see a women's sport I could actually get into. Soccer and Basketball never did it for… Continue

So last night I was told I was a whiner because I said I'd had a rough year. Two 15 week pregnancy losses this past year. This is not to mention the other three previous to having birthed S. I already feel like a failure as a wife and mother because I cannot give my husband another child. Five pregnancy losses are not easy for me, and there is no such thing as grieving for one but not the others. I am pretty strong, yet I feel we are chipping away our relationship right now.
