"I can't believe FOX has Rove on as a "contributor". If you look up "political crook" in the dictionary, Rove's picture is next to it."

The Privatization Fairy

Have you ever been having a conversation with a free-market ideologue and referred, in exasperation, to things like fire-department services and roads as examples of why some things are simply better accomplished through taxation by a government than through private "entrepreneurship?"Well, now the industrious little gnomes at the American Enterprise Institute are even trying to take THAT one away. No, really. The article's actually called "…See More

Profile Information

About Me:
"Politicians are like diapers. They both need changing regularly and for the same reason." ~Mark Twain

Mostly domesticated house-husband of Mommy Monster, political junkie, gracelessly-aging lover of odd music, good food, strong coffee. Host of The Diaper Pail political blog on Offsprung.

Oh yeah. Name's Lars.
What's something about your kid(s) that makes you happy?
They're wicked smart.
What's your most recent kid-related public humiliation?
My active campaign of repression and denial must be working pretty well; can't remember.
What about contemporary parenting culture pisses you off the most?
The Mommy Olympics™
Who were you BEFORE you became a parent?
A slightly less-gracelessly aging lover of odd music.
What are you nerdy about?
Politics, All Things Mac™, roasting coffee, brewing beer, grinding meat, music
Favorite music/books/TV/movies:
The three coolest shows on TV, ever, were (in order): Twilight Zone, Batman and Get Smart. Honorable mention for Arrested Development. Movies? My split personality will be too-nakedly revealed if I tell you the truth that The Philadelphia Story and Apocalypse Now top my list. Also Magnolia, the Usual Suspects, Ponyo. I’m kinda schizo that way.
OPTIONAL: Do you have a sex life?
With a wife recovering from major abdominal surgery/infection? Check back with me later. ;-)
