About Me:
Looking for products, news, information and hilarity that will be as useful to parents as this screen name suggests. May occasionally do a serious review or give out useful information, but don't count on it.

About the Blog

The original Meconium, written by this guy way back when, had the following mission:

Your baby comes into this world with nothing, and the world then attempts to overcompensate by offering an unending parade of crap, causing the dreaded Babies R Us Breakdown. Should you purchase the new stroller with built-in bottle warmer, or spend that money on a weekend in Vegas? Meconium (Latin for the crap that comes with your baby) will tell you when to buy and when to double down.

We hope to live up to those high standards.

For the record Meconium also means:
The fecal mass released at pupation by the larvae of some insects.
and
The milky sap of the unripe seed pods of the opium poppy; crude opium.

"Hang in there sockiboo! My first two were each a week past the due date (but that's just an educated guess anyway not that that makes you feel anymore comfortable)."
