At
Offsprung, we believe there are lots of legitimate ways to make a
family, raise a family and be a family.
We try our best to give space to the many voices of parenting --
especially those that aren't well-represented in mainstream media,
such as feminist parenting, LGBTQ parenting, minority and
interracial parenting, step-parenting, single parenting, adoptive
parenting and more. We welcome all viewpoints and encourage lively,
respectful, civil debate. We do not tolerate slurs or attacks.
We believe parents are people way beyond the bounds of parenting.
We open our blogs, our forums, our groups and all other parts of
our site to topics that embrace the whole person who happens to be
a parent. We talk sex, money, politics, movies, music, books, race,
gender, health, ethics, gardening, cooking, poop and much, much
more. We try to do it with passion, involvement and -- most of all
-- a sense of humor.
Finally, we believe that parents have more commonalities than
differences and that we're all at our best as parents and as people
when we have an accessible network of support, communication and
commiseration. That's why we're here.
