There are some things that all kids go through.  And all parents should probably be ready with some quick answers.  But I was caught off guard with one this morning.  So I thought I'd start a thread for us to discuss common kid problems and the best ways to deal with them.

I'll go first.

This morning the Bean told me that one of his pre-school friends told him that he didn't want to be friends with him anymore.

Any quick advice on this one?  And what other common kid issues do you face?

When I witnessed my son playing with his daycare class at the park, I realized my son was alone a good deal of the time. I felt sad, as if the other kids must not want to play with him. Then, a nice boy comes up, and asks my son to play "spiderman". My son pretty much ran in the other direction, and I felt bad for my other kid now. It sucks either way, but I guess it makes good practice for being older and having tough teenage years. And, it provides a lesson to one's child that if he doesn't feel good when others are mean, hopefully it'll make him a nicer person?
