Top 25 cult films of all time. Which of your favorites are there, and which are missing.

I can agree with a lot of these, but I'm very sad to not see "Heathers" on the list.

Showgirls was such a thing when it came out because of the rating, you HAD to see it. It was a shit hole movie, but a good shit hole movie.

Lea...Showgirls totally. One of the most awesomely good bad movies ever made. It's downright hilarious. Lea said:
Showgirls? Really?

Heathers, mainstream? I don't think so.

Kentucky Fried Movie? Brain Donors? Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill!? The Tao of Steve? I love Heathers, but I think it's too mainstream to be a cult film. Close, but not quite. Princess Bride and Goonies are very mainstream.

Am I crazy, or were there NO Roger Corman films on that list?
Everyone's seen Heathers! Me and my friends saw it in the theater in fifth grade. It's weird, yeah, but I can't call it cult. Not weird or obscure enough. My friends and I played croquet anyway, so we really liked that movie.

Or I may just have poor self-awareness of how very weird I am. My husband was kind enough to inform me that it is highly unorthodox for a 5th grader to go to movies like Heathers. He probably thinks it's odd that I went to the midnight show of Rocky Horror in 7th grade. I had no supervision.
Capricorn One?
How about UHF?

Heathers was NOT mainstream.

Just because lots of people *we* know saw it, doesn't make it popular. We are... an eclectic bunch, by and large.
Ooh, ooh! UHF was filmed in Tulsa, OK. DaddyWho was an extra and can actually be seen clearly for about a second. I probably shouldn't tell random people that, huh?

Forgot about UHF and I own it!

What about Firefly? I know it is a little young. Maybe cult film in the making.

I thought of this, but it's a cult series--a whole new category, one that ought to include Picket Fences and Twitch City. If we're going to explore it, I mean.

You might could count the movie Serenity, but I don't know how culty it was.
