Missing 5-year old Shaniya Davis
Shaniya Davis has been missing since November 10, when her mother filed a police report stating she had not seen her daughter since 5 am that morning. Antoinette Nicole Davis, Shaniya's mother, has been charged with human trafficking, child abuse involving prostitution, as well as filing a false police report. Although the news release from the Fayetteville Police Department did not indicate that these charges were related to Shaniya's disappearance, the Fayetteville Observer has reported that arrest records indicate they are.
According to arrest records, Antoinette "knowingly provide[d] Shaniya Davis with the intent that she be held is sexual servitude [and] permitted an act of prostitution."
Shaniya, who was reported missing at 6:53 am Tuesday morning, was seen on a surveillance video being carried into an unnamed Sanford hotel by Mario Andrette McNeill. McNeill turned himself into police on Friday and has admitted to kidnapping Shaniya, although her whereabouts are still unknown.
Ann Summers, Antoinette's mother, denies her daughter is involved in the disappearance in anyway. "I know my daughter ain't had nothing to do with her child's disappearance...bring my baby home."
Shaniya had only been living with her mother for three weeks at the time of her disappearance. Her father, Bradley Lockhart, had been caring for her for the past four years. He let Shaniya go to live with Antoinette because she had found a place to lie and had held a job for six months. "I just wanted her to be a mother...she was never part of her life." Now, he just wants his daughter back. " I just want her to come back safe, my friend. I love her very much, and i hope she is okay." he has been ruled out as a suspect in the case.

This has been freaking me out. God, I feel so bad for her dad... I hope they find her, and that he doesn't feel too bad for letting her be with her mom. He never could have foreseen this.

Oh no. How awful, awful, awful. There was a toddler found in San Francisco bay today too. Makes me want to go get my baby from daycare and hold him tight.

:( I was really hoping they were wrong. I saw her mom's photo on the news and thought, there's no way. That is not a guilty woman. She's not a killer. Looks can be deceiving, I guess.

Sick. To take a child for any purpose disgusts me, but for a parent to sacrifice a child just makes me rage. I cannot imagine any punishment that would be suitable for what she's done.
