I found it via Pandagon when Amanda Marcotte was cross-posting here.  Before I was even pregnant, I submitted an "Ask Alternadad" question.  Once becoming pregnant, I couldn't find anyone really talking about being pregnant and having babies from a feminist perspective.  And so, I turned to you all for help with a few questions: surnames, etc.  When the site crashed, I actually connected with you all more than before.  The fear of losing you was strong!

I think I found the site through another website - maybe Pandagon? Not really sure, but anywho, I'm certainly glad I did because you all are a fun and intelligent bunch. I love knowing that I can come here and ask a question or just share a story and not be judged harshly. The best part is the thoughtful responses that really make me think in a million different directions.

I found this website the first time I was pregnant and liked the group and its discussions. Sometimes I wish for more activity, but the discussions are always good and often funny.

I still don't know how to find you all on Facebook...

Are you pregnant? Did I miss the announcement? Congrats!

Wow, I didn't know you could get pregnant that way!

I found OS soon after we started trying to get pregnant via Terrible Mother.

But of course. It's all the rage in Europe.

(I think this fetus has eaten my brain. Zombie baby!)

Ok, just as a note, Babble has apparently been acquired by Disney. I suspect there is literally no chance Disney would ever have been interested in this community and our conversations. I think the desire to sell out and make big bucks was literally doomed from the start.

(although, don't get me wrong, the artificiality run amok of Disney gives me glee).

I don't remember how I found OS but I am very glad I did. I've formed a few really awesome real life relationships and lots of great of interwebs based relationships.
