Permalink Reply by Alan on February 12, 2010 at 1:46pm Is the CAPTCHA a box with twisty-looking characters you have to enter? I wondered from time to time why they didn't require people to do that at least to register an account.
They do require it, so I'm not sure what it will all entail. New members people have to use CAPTCHA to make comments or start topics if they have not been verified? But don't you have to be verified to join? I'm going to test the system next week and see what is what.

The way we’ve set this up, the only members who will see this are members that have joined your Ning Network, haven’t verified their email address, haven’t clicked on an email notification, and haven’t been approved on your Ning Network (if you have moderation on).
Essentially, your most active, trustworthy members won’t see the CAPTCHA. Hope that helps clarify!

Hi Madam President,
That’s right – if you moderate your members, they won’t see the CAPTCHA.
Thanks!
Laura
I saw the above in the comments on the Ning post you linked to. Does that answer your questions a bit, Alan?
