I'm not very computer savvy, so I have kind of an odd question. How do you do a screen capture? I'm not even sure if that's the correct term, what I'm looking for is how to take a picture of whatever is just on the screen, as opposed to printing a page and getting pages and pages of a really long website when you really only need to snap a picture of a small section. Does that make sense? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you see a "print screen" button on your keyboard? Often you have to press it while holding down the Shift key. Once you've done that, the image is saved to your clipboard. Now open a new document in a word processing program and "paste" (usually, Ctrl +V).
The button often says "Prt Sc" right on top of "SysRq" on the same key. Mine is on the top row, way over to the right, near the delete and insert keys. If you're on a PC, your should be too. If you're on a Mac, I've not nuttin' for ya.

I'm a tech moron, so I thought I'd be really specific for you. I understand. Hermie's directions should help you complete your task. :)

If you want to take a screen cap of just the internet browser window, hold down Alt + Print Screen.

The Print Screen button alone will take a screen capture of your whole monitor. Alt + Print Screen will just capture the active window.

There's also a really good prank you can pull where you do a screen capture of someone's desktop with all the icons, and then you set the image as their desktop background. Then you hide all their real icons, and they spend a reeeeeallly long time clicking on things trying to make them work. Not that I've ever done that. *ahem!*
If you're on a Mac (mine's OS 10), hold down control, apple, shift, 4 and you'll get a way to highlight whatever part of the screen you want. It copies it to your clipboard and can be pasted into a word processing program or photoshop.

I'm on a PC so using either the Shift or Alt + Print Screen worked for me. CJRW, that must have been a really funny prank. If somebody did something like that to me it would probably send me over the edge though. I would have thought I messed it up! McG, that snipping tool looks cool. I'm going to look into that and see if I can use it. I love that I can ask these kinds of questions here. Thanks everyone!
CJ, that is awesome.
