stocking stuffers

Kids stockings. Cripes these get expensive to fill, even at the dollar store. What do you guys put into stockings? I try to get a couple of small toys, playmobil etc. And this year I hit on the idea of wandering the sugar/crack aisle of the grocery store and buying some things that I normally wouldn't, like oreo straws and rainbow chip cookies, and will be sliding some of those into the stockings. The girls will get Lip Smackers and the baby will probably get socks because he needs them and his stocking is horrifyingly empty. I'd like to find some little activity pads and fancy pencils but our dollar store doesn't seem to have the activity pads this year.

I'm out of ideas! Help!
