Somewhere on SpeEdChange there are a few tools that are mentioned you can add right to your firefox browser if anyone is interested in them. And I just generally think this guy knows what he's talking about.

Thanks for the recommendation! He does look like a very interesting guy and I found his recommendation to encourage students to use a text-to-speech converter to hear their writing definitely worth considering.

What other tools were you thinking of? If you can find specific links or have used specific tools he mentioned, what are they?
here's the tools he suggests for firefox which I found on this page
My oldest uses Kurzweil for text to speech. It is great for an auditory learner. It also has some great study tools including auditory notes and highlighting.
