Not frothing about it here, per se, and I think in a few years it would be a good award for him, but I don't think the track record is long enough yet.
That isn't technically a requirement, as Yassir Arafat has one, but still. Good idea, too early, I think. Where do you go from here?
And seriously, why doesn't Ghandi have one, even posthumously?

Because, as far as I know, they don't give out the prizes posthumously. At least, they don't in the sciences. The peace prize may be different.
But, that's exactly what my mother in law said this morning. She is really pissed (and she even really likes Obama).

I ain't complainin', but I do worry that it may be a bit premature. My initial reaction was "Cool!" After a little more coffee, I said "hmm." But it's nothing to criticize Obama for. But sometimes the Nobel committees leave me scratching my head.

Not trying to be obtuse here, but other than a few speeches, what's he honestly actually accomplished internationally other than doing some nice speeches? Where's the honest merit?
Before you all start swinging off my nuts about this, he's on a good road, I just don't see where this is deserved- YET.

I don't know that anyone is disagreeing with you and even his most rabid supporters are left scratching their heads a bit about it.
