Dani's 15 months old and a great sleeper.  She goes down at 7pm-ish and will sleep until almost 7am.

For the past week, she's been waking up at 5am, because she's wet through her diaper and I have to get up and change her clothes and diaper.  We're using Pampers Nighttime diapers and she's 15 pounds shy of being too big for them, per the box.

She usually has dinner around 5:30pm and we don't give her a ton of liquid after that but we don't deny her.  She is, after all, going to need to make it last during 12 hours of sleep.  I'm dying getting up at 5am to change her and she's not really having an easy time going back to sleep--nor am I.

Any ideas?  The next size night time diaper?  (Which would be huuuuge).  I'm worried that a plastic diaper cover would be gross and make diaper rash likely..she's never had diaper rash so I would like to minimize the risk.

Help me Hive Mind (and please don't resent me for getting so much sleep!)

We have this problem once in a while, too. Yesterday morning I walked into my son's room to have him announce that he was "very wet". Indeed.
Night time diapers don't do any better than regular ones.
I assume that you change her right before putting her down to sleep.

Try the next size up. We have switched him to the bigger diapers every time way before he was anywhere close to the weight limit. If you look at the bigger size diaper's weight range, you might find that she could be wearing the bigger ones.

For a while my son was peeing through every single night, but now he's just doing it once in a while. We don't restrict his fluids after dinner, either, as it seems very mean.
I put Ebay in the size 4 Pampers nighttime diapers well before she hit the minimum weight for size 4, and just pulled the tabs all the way to the middle. No leaks since then.

Does she drink a lot after dinner for something to do? Bedtime bottle? Maybe she.can be shfted to another activity just as comforting? She's not going to dehydrate without those.extra drinks. And yeah, put on the fresh diaper just before bedtime.
GirlWho was inbetween diaper sizes a few times. I had good luck switching brands to find a size that was just somewhat larger rather than huge. Maybe read the labels to see if there's a difference in size ranges between brands.
Thanks all....she weighs 22 pounds and we have her in size 4s which go from 22-36lbs.
But, I will pick up the size 5's tonight to see if that stops the leak!

She is changed just before bed so goes to bed dry. She clearly inherited mommy's puppy-sized bladder.
They make special diaper doubler pads. The pads are sold nearby the nighttime diapers and resemble maxi pads. I have used them and they are awesome. Good luck! :)
Have you tried the Huggies ones? We use Pampers during the day but the Huggies overnights. And go with the big ones as well. And yes, I am jealous. Although our littlest one did sleep for about that long a while ago. Her cold put an end to that.
We also switched to huggies one size up after some leaky nights and have had no issues. Really, the thing is practically down to his knees in the am, but no leaks. If that fails, perhaps try cloth diaper wraps?
I second everyone. Size up and go to Huggies. Huggies overnights are awesome. Actually, I've always been a fan of the bigger diaper because my daughter has a little badonkadonk going on.
I'll echo the usage of Huggies. I was going nuts trying to figure out how to keep Little B dry at night as a baby and we were also using Pampers, until my friend told me to try Huggies.

I'll also second the usage of the diaper doublers. I used the flushable pads from G diapers in the Little Miss's nighttime disposable. It worked great.
UPDATE:
Tried a bigger size regular diaper last night because I had them on hand.....FAIL.

Will pick up some nightime huggies and seek out diaper doublers. Thanks peeps!
One other thing, do you put his penis pointing down at night? We had to do that and it helped. Although I'm trying to figure out what to do about the girl now. But if he's mostly leaking from around his belly, try the penis tuck.

Diggy,
No penis here! Dani is short for Danielle! :)
