We're about to take the kids (4 1/2 and 2) on a cross country flight (again).  This time, we've decided to arm ourselves with an iPod Touch.  So for all of you iPhone users, what are the best games available for kids?

And thanks!

I've got a 6 and 4 year old. Well, also a 1 year old, but she just likes to hit the screen. Chuzzles is a good one, but it's $5. TapFish is free, but it's not a big time killer. There is a game called Labyrinth that they like, but it might be for the iPad only. You move a ball through an obstacle course. The four year old can play that just fine. They also have some math games, but I forget the names. Chopper is a good one as well, but I don't know if he is old enough for that and I don't think she would be at all. So, not much for the 2 year old. Battleship is also an idea, but it isn't two player.
I just have a few free ones that The Dragon seems to still like:
First Words Sampler by Learning touch -- maybe a bit young for the Bean but Sprout might dig.
Jirbo Match and Jirbo Says are still pretty good.
Pocket Tanks could be a good two player for you and the Bean.
Bubble Free for mindless fun.
Star Wars Force Unleashed lightsaber would be great for annoying other passengers. That was actually the first app I put on my phone.
The Dragon's favorite app is SimpleDraw, a free drawing / coloring application.
Himself is almost four and loves Pocket God and Angry Birds. Tozzle is also good. Jelly Car, Super Monkey Ball, Topple, and Preschool Adventures are also popular. The other thing my husband figured out was how to get our recorded episodes of The Backyardigans etc into iPod video format and he can just sit and watch them. Getting your kids a headset is also a good idea. They can listen to the sounds/music without driving you crazy.
2nd Kid is 4 and following apps are a big hit with her:
Color Me
BubbleWrap
Doodle Buddy
Dinos 360
Dots for Tots
Feed Me! (only good if they can read letters)
Fisher Price Bigfoot The Monster
If something's available for the Droid then it's probably available for iPhone, right? Big O is obsessed with a game called Abduction! You're a little cow, and you move the phone left and right to make the cow leap to ever-higher platforms, trying to reach a spaceship in the sky. The game itself makes no sense, but as I said, she loves it. When you miss a platform and fall, the phone vibrates for a second.

Ebay's favorite is ToddlerLock. Touching the screan makes colors and shapes appear, and they can hamfist the screan to swipe it all away.

Anything involving coloring or drawing is good, like FingerPaint.
First ... I suggest TWO ipods - one per kid. Mine - 3 and 5, both want to play the games on my iphone ALL. The. Time. Having said that, our faves are (in no particular order):

Monkey PreSchool Lunchbox
Giraffe's PreSchool Playground
elias abc
elias zoo
I hear ewe
Peekaboo barn lite
matches
Math Magic
Number Sense
Toddler Teasers Quizzing
Baby Apps All-in-one
Disney's Up
Balloon Animals Lite
Glow Coloring
My Suitcase
Bubble Free
Hatch
Smack It
Simon
TicTacFree
Mazer
Labyrinth 3d
Tap of War
Air Hockey
Tip-a-cow
Zenmom, do you have any room for music on there?
Not all droid apps are available on the iPhone/iPod because you don't have to go through a crazy approval process to get a droid app published like you have to do with apple. I have a droid and have lots of apps that make my iPhone friends jealous. For example, I have a Super Nintendo emulator on my phone, and I can download ROMS right from the web and run them on my phone. Yay Final Fight and Jungle Strike!

Heh. Not much. ;)

No, seriously: I only have an 8 gb phone. About half is music and the rest is apps. ;)

I think you mean one for them and one for me.

For all you adults who have one and haven't played Angry Birds....you must download it right now. Crazy. Addictive.
Actually, B and the Little Miss also really like Angry Birds! They also like Hungry Sharks, Topple, and Scoops. Hungry Sharks is not really appropriate, but I can blame AlphaGeek for that one. He put it on there. Yes, the shark eats people. *sigh*
