So, as many of you may or may not know, I am Daddywho. Yes, the poor, hapless, meat popsicle married to the always too smart for her own good Mamawho. Like many of you, I was here for the beginning of OS, and I too for a time was elevated into Made status in the Mafia. But, this week I am in phucking hell.

In an odd chance of fate, I somehow get paid to write but suck at it, while Mamawho, who can turn a phrase that makes rocks cry, does not. Even after much coaching, I still feel like those chain smoking chimps in the Ives play, clanging away at the keyboard in a feeble attempt to create Hamlet, but end up just flinging poop.

This week, I corrected my latest bad habit/mistake (hedging, i.e. writing around the problem, which is also called making shit up and avoiding the truth) only to have it chopped, or rather planted before national release. I gave them the Sahara, and the returned to me a rain forest. There's so many hedges, I don't even remember what the story was about in the first place. Oh yeah, RAPE. Because we don't say that, it's a dirty word, and that doesn't happen. Okay campers, soap box time:

1. When a guy gets shot in war, he is never questioned what the hell he was doing some place like that. If a woman is raped, they always question. Like she fing asked for it!

2. When a guy gets shot, he has a 10% chance of getting PTSD, when a woman is raped, she has a 56% of getting PTSD.

3. When a guy gets shot, he's a hero, gets a medal, and is looked up to. When a woman gets raped, she gets punished, questioned, and cast and eventually aside or out all together.

Last but not least, we just put a guy down. Slam dunk on all counts. Rape, sodimy, etc.etc. He was a good friend of the victim, got her drunk, and assaulted her. And yes, he had tried it before only with a different girl. The court gave him 4 MONTHS. That's 120 DAYS for RAPE. The following case, dude gets popped for dope (enough for maybe a dozen joints or so) and gets 6 MONTHS.

Welcome to my Hell...and how is your day?

Better than that poor victim's.

Sorry you've gotta spin stuff like that. BTW, love your picture. i can't see it close enough to really know what he's wearing, but I'm not sure I want to.
Sorry about #3, still pissed. However, I did state that I'm not that good a writing.
HBD - Yeah, the kicker to the story is she got married 3 days after the attack, and the rapist was her best friend. Her soon to be husband was getting ready to deploy, and the "friend" took her out to cheer her up. At least there's a place in Hell for that ass-hat.

Regarding the photo, it's a leopard print thong in pleather, complete with designer clogs. It's from Paris Hilton's new Fall line, Rug Burn on the Rhine.

Hi T-Rex! Perhaps we should get lady justice a service animal?
DW - there is not a pain bad enough for that jackass. I'm sorry you have to deal with any part of the this travesty.
Dealing with all of that and seeing that guy get four months would be one of my hells. Such bullshit.
Grrrrr... I read somewhere that survivors of rape who have more physical damage to their body are somewhat less likely to develop PTSD and recover more quickly due to the fact that people will, indeed, believe their story. :(
My day isn't nearly that bad. I have to deal with sick kids who are on their fifth infection in two months and are going stir crazy, which really, could be worse.

Justice doesn't always get served to all, which sucks. And people wonder why feminists get so cranky.
Hi DW!! The long time lurker, first time poster :) (or first time-ish)

Man, I was totally having a pity, party of 1 on Monday and you definitely win. But thank gawd someone still has a conscience.
LL2B, I've read the same thing. A lot of what causes PTSD or trauma, supposedly, is people minimizing or dismissing the pain.
Now you all know why we watch cartoons so often.
What a terrible story! I feel so bad for that poor woman...
My hell? Well, maybe just the hell I visit...
Yesterday, I spent 2 hours with a mother of a 16 year old girl who has been missing for a month. The girl went out to put up yard sale signs and never returned. 3 months ago she had run away from home, was gang raped by 5 men and held against her will for 4 days...the police took a report but so far nothing has been done about it. The girl and her mother had been recieving death threats from people in the area for reporting the rape...but the police are not really concerned about the girls disappearence, cuz she has run away before.
Yesterday, I also visited with a couple who are raising their daughters children (she passed away last year). The father of the children was released from prison not too long ago and is staying with the family while he get on his feet. The father kidnapped the kids Saturday. He wants their SSI checks. On a side note- On Tuesday when I was sitting in my car waiting for the caregiver to come home, a couple who live accross the street from the client were fighting. The male reached into the window of the van and tried to pull the woman out the window by her hair- repeatedly, while punching her- in front of their children. I called 911. It took more than 20 minutes for police to arrive.
I came home and cried.
