I was just coming to write about this too. So sad! He made so many awesome 80's movies.

I feel all weepy, but I think it is just the pregnancy hormones, lol.

But I loved Weird Science, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller, Breakfast Club. SO many good ones!
awwww.... i'm sad too!

i loved so many of his movies!
Another one gone way too early. Heart attack at 59. Yikes.
It's scary how much that man influenced the lives of a generation. He will be missed. The only upside is that perhaps a lot of his movies will be played on TV for the next few weeks.
I can recite whole chunks of "The Breakfast Club" to this day.
I had no idea this happened today. I loved those movies, especially the Breakfast Club.
When I heard the news, I felt like I needed to call my best friend with whom I've watched so many of his movies so many times. May need a DVD marathon this weekend in his memory.
