We watched the Swedish film "Let the Right One In" last night. Amazing movie. Beautifully filmed and every scene conferee the sense of isolation and loneliness of the characters, making the connection between Oskar and Eli all the more compelling. It was realistic (well, for a vampire movie) without gratuitous gore. I just loved this film.

What have seen or read lately that has blown you away?

Discovered this artist in one of Sailor's steam punk books. Got my creative gears going and I'm itching to get painting again. Please forgive the horrid pun.

I can't wait to see this.

Reading The Black Hills by Dan Simmons and like it a lot, good mix of history and American Indian mythology.

Dan Simmons has gone off the ideological deep end in his personal life. Just like Orson Scott Card, I can't look through his politics and read any of his stuff anymore.
I don't know anything about him outside of his books, I gotta read up.
It's true, Orson Scott Card is crazy. His manifestos about a great Mormon genre of literature are... strange, to say the very least.
Know It All Sister took us camping at Lake Michigan. We got a full moon over the lake, on our last night. So pretty.
